Privacy Policy
You trust us with your family's story. Here, in plain words, is what we collect, why we collect it, and how to ask us to change or remove it.
Last updated November 3, 2026
Santa's Enchanted Workshop is operated by Benton Photography Inc. in Rescue, California. This policy covers santasenchantedworkshop.com and the information you share with us through it.
What families share with us
- When you book a visit: your name, phone number and email; your mailing address, so Santa's letter can find your home; your children's first names and ages; their favorite things; any allergies; and anything you tell us that helps Santa make the visit right for your child, such as whether they are shy, outgoing or autistic. We also ask a few questions like how you found us. Parents and guardians provide all of this.
- When you accept our terms: the date, the version of the terms and the internet (IP) address you accepted from.
- When you ask a question: your name, email, phone number, your child's name if you include it, and your message.
- When you join Letters from the Workshop: your email address.
- When you order a Legacy Stone or keepsake: what you ordered, the words to engrave, and the contact details you give at checkout.
- When you reach us through a Facebook or Instagram form: what you typed there, which Meta passes along to us.
Card numbers go directly to Stripe, our payment company. They never reach our own systems.
Your children's information
This website is for parents and guardians. Everything we know about a child comes from their grown-up, and we use it for one purpose: making that child's visit and Santa's letter feel personal. Your children's details stay out of our advertising and our website analytics.
Children should not send us information themselves. If you believe a child under 13 has done so, please write to us and we will delete it.
How we use your information
- To hold your booking, take payment and send your confirmation and reminders
- To prepare Santa for your family and mail his letter
- To answer your questions and arrange your ordering appointment
- To send Letters from the Workshop if you joined; every issue has an unsubscribe link
- To understand how the website is used, and to invite new families through our advertising
What the website gathers on its own
Like most websites, ours records some details as you browse. We use small files called cookies and a similar kind of browser storage to do this.
- Visit analytics (PostHog): the pages you view, what you click, your device and browser, and your general location. We also record some visits as a replay of how the pages were used, so we can fix what isn't working. Anything typed into a form is hidden from those replays.
- Advertising (the Meta pixel): a small piece of code from the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta which pages were viewed on your device and when a booking is completed, along with its amount. That helps us show our ads to families who may enjoy a visit and see whether those ads work. We have set the pixel so it does not read what you type into our forms, and it stays off our Santa questionnaire page. Meta handles what it receives under its own privacy policy.
- Technical records: your IP address is logged by our hosting company and used to protect our forms from abuse.
- Our emails: we may be able to see whether an email was delivered and opened.
Who helps us
A few trusted companies handle information on our behalf, each for the job listed here:
- Stripe processes payments
- Supabase stores booking records and messages
- Resend delivers our email
- Google Workspace holds our workshop mailboxes
- Vercel hosts the website
- PostHog provides visit analytics
- Meta provides advertising and measurement
- Photon, a public OpenStreetMap service run by Komoot, suggests addresses as you type your mailing address. It receives what you type in that box, without your name.
- Stone Sharp Images, the studio that builds and maintains this website
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our families and our workshop.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your information. California law can count the Meta pixel as "sharing" information for advertising, so we want to be open about it, and you can turn it off using the choices below.
Your choices
- Advertising: adjust your ad preferences with Meta, or block cookies in your browser settings.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, the Meta pixel stays off for your visit.
- Do Not Track: our website does not change how it works when a browser sends the older Do Not Track signal.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, or write to us.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us at any time what we hold about your family, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Please email headelf@santasenchantedworkshop.com from the address you booked with, so we can be sure it is you. We will reply within 45 days, and usually much sooner. We may need to keep some records, such as payment history, where the law requires it.
California residents may also ask us once a year about any personal information shared with others for their own direct marketing, and we will not treat you any differently for exercising a privacy right.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
Many families return year after year, so we keep booking records for as long as they are useful for your visits and our business records, or until you ask us to delete them. Our website uses encrypted connections, and only the people who run the workshop and maintain its systems can reach your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care with what you entrust to us.
If this policy changes
When we update this policy, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on this page.
